HP telephony technology provides a seamless experience for hospices and the three Medication Management Support Centers (MMSC) located in Philadelphia, Tempe, and Memphis. HP’s enhanced telephony infrastructure guarantees successful interactions and encounters. This cutting edge telephony system provides for a significant capacity allowing for the connectivity of hundreds of HP representatives in multiple locations throughout the U.S.

The MMSC itself is a true virtual contact center. The best-in-class call routing software directs callers to the appropriate HP representative based on skill-set, regardless of his/her geographic location. Each call is electronically linked with the patient clinical record for efficiency and accuracy.

With HP, hospices enjoy:

  • Automated Refill and Discharge System
  • Speech Recognition (voice-enabled phone menu and assessment reporting)
  • Controlled Substance Prescription Reconciliation Fax Server Technology (Reconciles prescriptions sent to prescribers with the electronic signed copy, storing them in an electronic filing system for documentation purposes)

Soon, HP will be offering a hospice telehealth service for Patient-Report Outcomes Monitoring, called PROM. Outbound electronic contact to patients identified as appropriate for follow-up has been found to enable nurses to sort patients by symptom severity, prioritizing their day-to-day patient care activities based on patient risk.
