Live CE Program: Methadone for Pain Management

  • Recognize methadone's unique role in pain management
  • Identify potential limitations associated with the use of methadone in pain management
  • Recognize patient specific factors that may or may not make methadone an appropriate option for pain management

This program was developed for nursing and pharmacy professionals working in the hospice and/or palliative care environments

Main presentation - 50-55 minutes

CE Info:
This program is awarded one contact hour for nursing continuing education. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 15693 for 1.0 contact hours.

To receive full credit and the statement of credit, nurses/pharmacists must participate in the entire program and submit the post-test with a score of 70% or higher. Nurses must provide license number when submitting the online post-test in order to receive CE credit. Statements of credit will be emailed to successful participants 4 weeks after receipt of the post-test. This is an open-registration with no registration fees. There is a small, processing fee of $11 to be accessed per statement of credit issued to hospice partner participants and will appear on the hospice organization’s monthly bill.
