After participating in this continuing education program, the participant will be able to complete the following program learning objectives:

1) Describe patterns of antibiotic use in hospice

2) Discuss the ethical dilemma of prescribing antibiotics in the hospice population

3) Review crurent practice guidelines to guide appropriate antibiotic prescribing in hospice

4) Describe QAPI project to reduce inappropriate antibiotic precribing in hospice using a Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) Cycle
