Terri Maxwell

Vice President, Clinical Initiatives

Terri Maxwell works with Hospice Pharmacia’s clients and client-facing teams to develop clinical services and products for the company. This includes HP’s QAPI program, which measures the hospice’s quality of care and provides information used to improve patient care. Terri joined the Hospice Pharmacia team in 2004.

Prior to her current role, Terri was an Executive Director at the Center for Palliative Care in the Department of Family Medicine at Philadelphia’s Thomas Jefferson University. Before focusing on palliative care, she was an Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist for many years. A widely published author and lecturer, Terri is recognized as a leader in the palliative care field. She was named a Project on Death in America Faculty Scholar from the Open Society Institute in July 2002, and is involved in several professional organizations including the Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses Society. She serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Pain Nursing.

Terri earned her BSN from the University of Rhode Island, her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania, and her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania.
