Chief Pharmaceutical Care Officer

Michael Cinque is Chief Pharmaceutical Care Officer for, and a founder of, Hospice Pharmacia and excelleRx. In Michael’s current role, his responsibilities include managing the processes of the company’s Pharmacy Services Support Center and helping to create opportunities for pharmacists to positively impact the outcomes of terminally ill patients in measurable ways. Over the years, Michael has held key operations and client support positions including VP of Finance, VP of Operations, SVP, Client Support and SVP, Clinical Operations.
Michael began his career more than 15 years ago a Clinical Pharmacist and owner of Bridesburg Pharmacy in Pennsylvania, providing direct care to hospice and non-hospice patients. Michael’s pharmacy practice at Bridesburg not only provided pharmacy care to patients, it was also a learning center and mentoring practice site for clinical pharmacists in training.
He has served as President of the American Pharmacists Association’s Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management and a member of the APhA Board of Trustees. He currently serves on the Boards of the National Hospice Foundation, The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, and The Food Trust.
Michael earned his B.S. in Pharmacy from Temple University, and his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida.
