On June 29, 2009 the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) and the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) put forth their support of the Medication Therapy Management Benefits Act of 2009.  The bill was introduced five days ago on June 26 and was quickly placed under review of the Committee on Energy and Commerce and Committee on Ways and Means.  The bill hopes to increase the use of Medication Therapy Management, which will reduce the amount of medication related problems that occur without the review of a pharmacist and improve patient adherence.
