Drug Prices Rise in the Face of Health Reform Efforts
Despite healthcare reform efforts, wholesale prices of brand-name medications are increasing at the fastest rate in over a decade, about 9% in the past 12 months. Drug companies claim the increased prices are necessary to sustain the funding for research and development of new medications.
