Pharmacists Most Trusted Source for Health Information, Study Reveals

According to a recent poll conducted by the Charlton Research Company, pharmacists were found to be the most "trustworthy" source on health and medical research issues, outpacing government agencies, patient groups and other healthcare providers.  "Pharmacists have a reputation for being highly accessible and knowledgeable. NACDS believes findings like those in this research can help make the case for the role of pharmacists in helping patients take medications properly – also known as medication adherence," states Steven C. Anderson, National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) President and CEO.  The press release appeared on the NACDS website.
